Description

This nine-story, 142,000-square-foot mixed-use building provides offices, a new home for the Third Church of Christ Scientist, ground-level shops, and below-grade parking on a prominent site in Washington, DC's Sixteenth Street Historic District.

900 16th Street carries forward Washington, DC's traditional palette of light-colored stone. Cherokee white marble storefronts face 16th and I Streets; above, windows framed in Cherokee white marble are set into an Indiana limestone grid. A terrace on the ninth floor offers views to the Washington Monument and the White House. A crystalline interpretation of Gothic pinnacles identifies the entrance to the Church.

The building is certified LEED Gold.
