Roger H. Seifter, AIA
Roger H. Seifter, Partner, joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 1978. He has been responsible for supervising the design, contract drawings, and construction administration of a range of projects including houses and private apartments in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Michigan, California, and Florida. His work abroad includes residential projects in London, New Delhi, Toronto, and New Brunswick, Canada.
In addition, Mr. Seifter has been in charge of institutional projects including the Sprigg Lane Dormitory and the Observatory Hill Dining Hall at the University of Virginia; the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, New York; and the Kiawah Island Beach Club in South Carolina.
Mr. Seifter's work has been published in The New York Times, Architectural Record, and House and Garden. His work has appeared in Architectural Digest; a penthouse at Fifteen Central Park West was on the cover of the magazine's April 2010 issue. His houses have been featured in several books on contemporary residential design; most recently, the Residence at Chilmark was featured on the cover of Keith Moskow's The Houses of Martha's Vineyard (Monacelli Press, 2005). His work has been exhibited at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and at the Bronx Museum in New York City.
Mr. Seifter is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Architectural League of New York, and the Institute of Classical Architecture. He is registered in New York State and other jurisdictions. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., 1975) and of the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (M.Arch., 1978).
