Robert A.M. Stern and Daniel Lobitz to Speak in San Francisco

Robert A.M. Stern and Daniel Lobitz to Speak in San Francisco

On September 25, Robert A.M. Stern and Daniel Lobitz, Partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, will speak on "The Evolution of Urbanism in San Francisco and Beyond," at a conversation hosted by Grosvenor Americas and moderated by John King, Urban Design Critic at the San Francisco Chronicle. The evening will include an exclusive preview of Crescent Nob Hill, the latest collection of homes from Grosvenor Americas and Robert A.M. Stern Architects' first multi-family residential project in San Francisco.

Crescent Nob Hill stands on San Francisco's Nob Hill at the intersection of Powell and California Streets and the crossing of the city's two historic cable car lines. The 7-story, 44-unit, 100,000-square-foot residential building steps back from the corner with a bold curving facade that cradles a landscaped entry garden. To either side, the building holds the street wall above a horizontally striated granite base, stepping down the slopes along both Powell and California Streets to meet adjacent buildings. The facades present a contemporary interpretation of the San Francisco tradition of tall bay windows. Partners Robert A.M. Stern, Daniel L. Lobitz, and Graham S. Wyatt led the design effort. The event is by invitation only.
