TMG Partners Announces Development in San Francisco

TMG Partners Announces Development in San Francisco
TMG Partners, one of the San Francisco Bay area’s largest mixed-use property developers, filed plans for a new residential neighborhood designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects on the site of Sutter Health’s California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in Presidio Heights, San Francisco.

The project will involve the demolition of the existing hospital, the conversion of one building to residential use, and the construction of nearly 40 new buildings ranging in height from 35 to 80 feet, providing 250 units, including 26 single-family houses and over 200 apartments, as well as below-grade parking and amenities. RAMSA worked with TMG to develop the proposal over 18 months of consultation with neighborhood residents, neighborhood associations, and staff from the City of San Francisco. Many of the residences are intended to attract families, with 80% providing two bedrooms or more. The plan carries forward the distinct urban character and scale of the adjoining Presidio Heights and Jordan Park neighborhoods by distributing the residences among a variety of building types instead of one megastructure, establishing a sense of place that is too often absent in large developments. RAMSA partners Robert A.M. Stern and Daniel Lobitz are leading the design. BDE Architecture is the architect of record.

TMG Partners, founded in 1984 and headquartered in San Francisco, is a full-service real estate development and management company. TMG has developed more than 25 million square feet of property throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including Emeryville, Marin City, Novato, Palo Alto, San Bruno, San Jose and San Francisco. One of the most active developers in this area, the company has developed a variety of office, retail, residential and industrial properties, ranging from office campus and multi-story properties in urban, infill locations to mixed-use retail and single-story suburban buildings.
