Biography


Christopher McIntire, Senior Associate, joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 2002. His responsibilities have included the design and administration of a private house at West Tisbury in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts; a residence on Bel Air Road in Los Angeles; and apartments on New York City's Upper East Side and Upper West Side. Mr. McIntire is currently serving as Project Manager for an addition to a Mediterranean-style family compound in Malibu, California, and a Tudor Revival house in Toronto, Canada; and as designer for two new 425-bed residential colleges at Yale University.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McIntire worked at Kent Bloomer Studio where he designed architectural ornament for several RAMSA projects including Janice and Robert McNair Hall for the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business Management at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the Nashville Public Library in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. McIntire's paintings have been shown in two exhibitions at the San Diego Museum of Art. He also designed and built public artworks in collaboration with Mario Echevarria, a fellow artist.

Mr. McIntire earned his Master of Architecture degree from Yale University. He also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he participated in the European Honors Program in Rome. He is a registered architect in the State of New York.
