Biography


Dennis Sagiev, Senior Associate, has been with Robert A.M. Stern Architects since 1996. During this time, he has been involved in the design and management of various institutional projects, including the LEED Silver North Hall and Library at Bronx Community College for DASNY, in Bronx, New York; The Commons, a 1,135-bed student residences for Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania; the 20-bed LEED Platinum, Net Zero Energy Use Kohler Environmental Center at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford, Connecticut; and the LEED Gold certified Greenberg Conference Center at Yale University. He is currently working on a 476-bed residence hall on the Capitol Campus for Georgetown University in Washington, DC.

His professional school buildings include the Park Center for Business and Sustainable Enterprise at Ithaca College School of Business in Ithaca, New York, the first LEED certified Platinum business school in the world; and the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. His buildings for the sciences include an addition to the Knott Science Center at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in Baltimore; Clark Hall, home to the Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute at Johns Hopkins University, also in Baltimore; the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex at Indiana University in Indianapolis; and the Natural Sciences & Allied Health Building at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Prior to his association with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Mr. Sagiev worked as an architect and design assistant with Diamond-Baratta Design, the New York interior design company.

Dennis Sagiev received his Master of Architecture degree from Moscow Architectural Institute in Moscow, Russia in 1992. Mr. Sagiev was also awarded a Certificate for Appraisal Studies in Decorative and Fine Arts by New York University in 1998. He attended the Certificate Program in Construction Management at the School of Continuing Professional Studies at New York University. He is a registered architect in the State of New York.
