Description

Heavener Hall, the new home for the undergraduate program of the Warrington College of Business Administration, stands on a highly visible site where the University's historic campus faces the City of Gainesville. The L-shaped 54,600-square-foot building surrounds a new, landscaped courtyard and frames a pedestrian entrance to the College of Business precinct from University Avenue.

On the building's ground floor, a student commons, multipurpose room, and café all open to outdoor terraces. Seven classrooms, a student lounge, and study rooms are located on the second floor. Faculty and staff offices are located on the third floor.

Heavener Hall's exterior reflects the University's unique Collegiate Gothic heritage developed by William Augustus Edwards through the 1920s and characterized by Gainesville red brick, clay roof tile, and limestone and white painted wood detailing.

Heavener Hall was recognized with a 2015 award from the City of Gainesville’s City Beautification Board (CBB) for its contribution to improving the attractiveness of the city and the urban environment.
Heavener Hall received LEED Gold certification.
