Charles Toothill, Senior Associate, has been with Robert A.M. Stern Architects since 1998. Mr. Toothill has contributed to the project management, design, and administration of the LEED Platinum George W. Bush Presidential Center at Southern Methodist University in Dallas; the LEED Gold Immanuel Chapel at the Virginia Theological Seminary; and residential projects in Hong Kong, China; San Francisco and Palo Alto, California; Highland Park, Illinois; and British Columbia, Canada. Mr. Toothill was Project Manager for Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Salve Regina University, and for three projects in Almaty, Kazakhstan: the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences, and two residential and retail developments. He was a project manager for the office renovation for the investment firm Angelo, Gordon & Co. in Midtown Manhattan; the assistant project manager for Bavaro Hall for the Curry School of Education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia; and he contributed to the design of Water's Edge, a residential development in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
He is currently serving as Project Architect for Edwin’s Place, a supportive housing development in Brooklyn expected to complete construction this Fall; as Project Manager for a seaside resort community with a Marina, retail promenade, hotel and over 300 residences located near Bodrum, Turkey; for Karagaly Village, a 1500-unit residential community located just twenty minutes south of Almaty, Kazakhstan city center; and is contributing to the design and project management for the St. George’s Mansion project, current under construction in Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Mr. Toothill worked for Joseph Robert Gluse Architects in Trumbull, Connecticut.
Mr. Toothill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. He is a registered architect in the State of New York, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED Accredited Professional.
