Graham S. Wyatt to Speak at AIA Columbus (Ohio) Annual Chapter Meeting

On October 15, 2019, Graham S. Wyatt, FAIA, Partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, will give the October Design Lecture at the AIA Columbus (Ohio) Annual Chapter Meeting. "What Style Do We Choose? The Search for Appropriate Architectural Expression" will explore how architects make decisions around the messages they communicate through buildings and how decisions about style can be more purposeful.

Graham Wyatt is a partner at New York-based Robert A.M. Stern Architects. He has directed a broad range of projects from master planning to building design for commercial, institutional, recreational, and residential clients throughout the United States and abroad, including the master plans for The Ohio State University's Arts District and the Scioto Peninsula Master Plan and Design Guidelines. Graham’s research-based design approach and the stylistic diversity of his work reinforce the idea that contemporary architectural expression should derive from a sense of place as well as the specific needs and aspirations of his clients. He is an active member of the Society for College and University Planning, serves on The Ohio State University Design Review Board, and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects. Graham is the coauthor of Designs for Learning: College and University Buildings by Robert A.M. Stern Architects (New York: Monacelli, 2016) and co-editor of The New Residential Colleges at Yale (New York: Monacelli, 2017).

Founded in 1913, the AIA Columbus (Ohio) is one of the largest chapters of the American Institute of Architects in the Midwest serving over 600 members and affiliated members throughout 32 counties in the Central Ohio area.
