Alexander P. Lamis, FAIA, a Partner at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, will be a panelist on the LLAMA / Library Leadership and Management Association's webinar "What Does Sustainability Mean for Libraries in the Covid-19 Era?" on Tuesday, June 23, from 2:30 to 4:00pm Eastern time (1:30 to 3:00pm Central time). The discussion will focus on the significant new challenges the pandemic has brought to the design and operations of library buildings, examining questions such as: What trade-offs are there between long-term goals and short-term needs? Is this a good time to make modifications to your buildings? Is the rapid increase in the use of electronic communication tools like Zoom here to stay, and what implications does this have for libraries? How can libraries keep their patrons safe? The goal of the webinar is to raise questions and start a dialogue around these important topics. Joining Mr. Lamis on the panel will be Laurie Kerr, FAIA, President at LK Policy Lab; Shanta Tucker, PE, Director at Atelier Ten; and Jeffrey Rios, PE, Partner at AKF Engineering.
