The Partners of Robert A.M. Stern Architects are pleased to announce that Caitlin B. Getman, a Senior Associate with the firm, has been selected to participate in the 2020 Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation's Emerging Leaders Program. Begun in 2017, the BWAF Emerging Leaders Program is a New York-based, selective professional development opportunity for women 5-10 years out of school. In small group format, 20 invitees engage with significant senior women in architecture, engineering, construction, real estate, law, and financial services to advance their own career goals. Participants share common experiences and trade personal strategies for success. In response to the coronavirus outbreak and federal guidance on gatherings, the 2020 Emerging Leaders will be hosted as three virtual sessions with three inspirational speakers.
"I've long been an enthusiastic fan of the Beverly Willis Architectural Foundation, an important and inspirational organization for women leaders in architecture, and I'm thrilled to have been selected for this valuable opportunity," said Ms. Getman. Responding to the Foundation's call for applications, Ms. Getman wrote, "Leadership is the capacity to define a vision, and to inspire and extract the greatness in others to make it happen."
