Alexis M. Ryder, AIA

Associate Partner

Alexis M. Ryder first joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 2007. Her work focuses primarily on single-family residential architecture, including new houses, renovations, additions, and apartment interiors. She has managed projects through design and construction and is an expert in project management and client coordination.  

Ms. Ryder is currently working on a new residence in Palm Beach, Florida; a house renovation in New Jersey; a townhouse renovation in New York City; and an apartment renovation in New England. Her completed work includes a residence on Gin Lane in Southampton, New York, inspired by the Shingle-style architecture of the East End; the Park Avenue offices of an investment firm, designed to accommodate the firm's growing art collection; and a renovation of an apartment on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles that reconfigured three units into a single cohesive residence.  

In addition to her project work, Ms. Ryder serves as a talent lead at RAMSA and mentors junior members of the design staff. She leads recruiting efforts for the University of Miami and The Catholic University of America, and participates in the firm's educational programming, including the organization of the annual summer trip. 

Ms. Ryder's work has been recognized with a 2018 Luxe Red Award and has been published in Elle Decor. She received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. She is NCARB certified and a registered architect in the State of New York.
