Robert A.M. Stern Honored with Bybee Prize from MIA + BSI, the Natural Stone Institute
Robert A.M. Stern received the James Daniel Bybee Prize at a ceremony on October 20. RAMSA Partner Alexander P. Lamis accepted the award on his behalf.

"For the last 15 years or so, I have had opportunity to use stone on significant buildings such as 15 Central Park West in New York City and 222 Berkeley Street in Boston," said Mr. Stern. "Stone is wonderful – stone is a way of helping buildings connect to local culture."

The Bybee Prize, named in honor of the late James Daniel Bybee, is presented by MIA+BSI, the National Stone Institute to an individual architect for a body of work executed over time distinguished by outstanding design and use of natural stone.

The MIA+BSI, the Natural Stone Institute serves more than 1900 members in 55 countries who represent every aspect of the natural stone industry, offering them a wide array of technical and training resources, professional development, regulatory advocacy, and networking events.
