Description

3201 Cuthbert is an 11-story, 500,000 square foot life sciences research complex located on Drexel University’s campus in the heart of Philadelphia’s burgeoning University City life sciences district.  Immediately adjacent to the historic 32nd Street Armory, and just blocks from 30th Street Station, this project will create a vibrant new hub on campus.

The building includes a mix of commercial, academic and research spaces and will provide state-of-the art facilities for bio-technology tenants, students, faculty and visitors.  With expanded floor-to-floor heights, highly efficient mechanical systems designed especially for laboratory research, best practice chemical storage space and pH neutralization capability, along with robust infrastructure for tenant needs, this building will provide the functionality and flexibility necessary for the advancing and commercializing bio-sciences.  Building amenities include a multi-purpose lobby, glass-enclosed meeting areas with views overlooking the city, and a variety of landscaped roof terraces.  Ground-level retail, covered spaces for outdoor dining and a generously landscaped public space will serve to re-invigorate the surrounding pedestrian realm.

When completed in 2024, this LEED Gold project is expected to become Philadelphia’s largest life sciences research and laboratory building.
