Description

Located within Virginia Tech’s North Academic District, the new four-story Data & Decision Sciences Center is a transformative project designed to accommodate multiple disciplines and organizations. The new facility provides 115,600 square feet of instructional, departmental, student study, and support space, with specialty spaces that include a trading lab, and a multi-story Commons that serves as a gathering space, and connector to the future Pamplin College of Business. The site is augmented with a variety of outdoor spaces to extend the collaborative, multi-disciplinary program into the surrounding campus fabric. Clad in Virginia Tech’s signature limestone—affectionately known as “Hokie Stone”—the building implements precast concrete facades contextually appropriate for the Collegiate Gothic character of the campus.
