Following our campus plan for Georgetown University’s Capitol Campus, RAMSA was asked to design a new flagship building to house the McCourt School of Public Policy. The building, situated at the northeast corner of E Street and 2nd Street, will both extend the existing Georgetown Law Center complex and act as the anchor for the entirely new Capitol Campus in downtown Washington, DC.
The new building will include a combination of technically-advanced classrooms, academic offices, a large broadcast-ready 400-seat auditorium, a student commons, and a 280 seat rooftop event venue. This state-of-the-art building will allow the new McCourt School of Public Policy to expand upon its predecessor, the Georgetown Public Policy Institute, offering space for additional faculty as well as a Center for Global Politics and Policy and a Massive Data Institute.
The new McCourt School of Public Policy building is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification.
