RAMSA’s Sustainable Design Practice Comes into Focus in Architectural Record

RAMSA’s recent work at Colgate University, part of the larger Campus Master Plan that includes the Benton Center, LEED Gold–certified Burke and Pinchin Residence Halls, and LEED Platinum–certified Benton Hall, was featured in the November 2022 issue of Architectural Record. The firm’s work helped the upstate New York campus reach its carbon-neutrality and environmental sustainability goals.

Project architect and RAMSA partner, Preston Gumberich, discusses the firm’s approach and perspective on sustainable design in the article: “There’s a misconception that sustainability is a style, but traditionalist and contextual design is not mutually exclusive with sustainable principles and practices.”
