Chicago's One Bennett Park Opens

Chicago's One Bennett Park Opens

Related Midwest celebrated the opening of One Bennett Park today. The Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed skyscraper, located in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, is a slender 70-story tower with a limestone base and an asymmetrical crown that steps up toward the city as it favors views to Lake Michigan. Metal detailing, punched windows, and stacked bay windows, enliven the composition. A lantern at the top, housing mechanical equipment, provides a memorable skyline silhouette. Designed in tandem is Bennett Park, a formerly underutilized 1.7-acre green space reimagined by landscape architecture firm Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates.

One Bennett Park adds to Robert A.M. Stern Architects’ growing portfolio of top-level apartment buildings which includes 15 Central Park West, 220 Central Park South, 520 Park Avenue, 30 Park Place, and 70 Vestry in New York City, as well as buildings in Boston, Toronto, Washington, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Related Midwest, the Chicago office of Related Companies, is dedicated to creating timeless additions to Chicago’s skyline that respond to the needs of specific neighborhoods. The company prides itself on local knowledge, and for thirty-years has been dedicated to improving the city through master-planned developments, residential buildings, and parks that have widely been recognized as best-in-class.

RAMSA Partners Robert A.M. Stern and Daniel Lobitz led the design effort. GREC served as associate architect.
