RAMSA Fellowship — Scales of Circularity in Mainland Southeast Asia

RAMSA Fellowship — Scales of Circularity in Mainland Southeast Asia

Join us on Wednesday, June 17, at 5:00 p.m. for a presentation by 2025 RAMSA Fellow Zamen Lin.

Zamen is a recent graduate of the Master of Architecture program at Harvard University. Last summer, he traveled throughout Malaysia and Thailand to study traditional Austronesian stilt buildings. His research examines material sourcing, construction techniques, and design for disassembly, with a focus on how these practices support reuse, regeneration, and a more circular material culture in response to climate challenges.

In his presentation, Zamen will share insights from this work, highlighting how vernacular building traditions can inform contemporary sustainable design.

The RAMSA Fellowship is a $15,000 prize awarded annually to graduate students for travel and research. To learn more about the fellowship, visit www.ramsa.com/fellowship.
