16 Fifth Avenue

16 Fifth Avenue establishes a dignified presence at the commencement of Fifth Avenue in New York City’s historic Greenwich Village neighborhood.

The warm brick façade, complemented by a limestone base and cornices, establishes a classic and refined aesthetic, blending seamlessly with the esplanade of classic apartment buildings on lower Fifth Avenue. At the upper levels, balanced asymmetrical setbacks define massing reminiscent of nearby townhouses while creating private outdoor spaces for residents, establishing an elegant silhouette among the building’s neighbors. The façade massing includes chamfered corners along the southern edge, while stacked balconies add dimension. Details include brick soldier courses and string courses, keystones, and French balconies.

The 19-story residential tower will house 17 units, each designed to take full advantage of the building’s expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, articulated by black mullions. These windows allow natural light to flood the interiors while allowing panoramic views of the city from the Hudson River to the nearby Washington Square Park.

These architectural features blend classical and contemporary elements, ensuring 16 Fifth Avenue stands as a notable but welcome addition to the Greenwich Village landscape.
