Caitlin Baransky Joins SCUP National Membership Committee

The Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) has announced that Caitlin Baransky, Senior Associate at Robert A.M. Stern Architects, has been appointed as the new SCUP National Membership Committee At-Large Director. Ms. Baransky's appointment will involve working directly with other representatives from SCUP's regions to address membership growth strategies; she will serve a two-year term.

Caitlin Baransky, joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 2014. Ms. Baransky recently served as Project Architect and Manager for the new Dr. Phillips Academic Commons at the University of Central Florida, Downtown; as Project Architect for the design of the South College Street Residence Hall and the master plan for the Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Center, both at the University of Delaware; and as Project Manager for Sankey Hall, for the Love School of Business at Elon University. She is currently serving as Project Architect for the Department of Theatre and School of Music buildings at The Ohio State University, and as Project Architect for the renovation and expansion project of a theater for an independent school in the Northeast.

Ms. Baransky received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Notre Dame, where she was the recipient of the Dr. Charles C. Price Memorial Fund for East-Central European Research, the Henry Adams Certificate, the Ferguson & Shamamian Architects Prize for excellence in classical and traditional design, and the Nellie Wynn Kervick Award for Design and Drawing.

The Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) unites higher education leaders and professional planners into a community, that, through high-quality professional learning and deep, diverse networks, develops its members' capacities to assist colleges and universities with creating integrated planning solutions that maximize the potential of higher education. Members represent the areas of campus planning, institutional planning, academic planning, finance and budgeting, administration, and IT.

The SCUP Membership Committee works to create more opportunities for the higher education community to connect and engage. With an eye toward expansion, the Membership Committee connects members and non-members alike through outreach and partnerships, and develops approaches that broaden SCUP’s reach.
